Project — Website design and build

My role — Design and Build

This website was designed to advertise the annual NZ Tourism Awards. I designed and built out the wordpress site. Wordpress isn’t my tool of choice, but it was a way to empower the in-house team to be able to use the system ongoing themselves.

We used a modular system that would allow the team at TIA to be able to build out future pages themselves easily adding and changing the site year on year, after the first fully fleshed out version was launched in year 1.

The site ran for about 5–6 years in this format with only content updates each year which is a long life for a website and shows simple, clear design can sometimes be a great approach. For a little money outlay up front, and minimal effort and monetary outlay over the following years (only hosting) makes it a good value approach for a project of this nature.

Team: Nicky Dyer, Design + Build of Wordpress Site, Roydon Misseldine, Designer, Oliver Ward, Design Director.
